  Don't be afraid of color. Mix and match. Pop of colors are in. It is the season to be bold.

  I'm a fan of both! Love to mix and match but you can also add interest to a monochrome look by incorporating different shades/textures/patterns of the same color. A fashion blogger I follow does this really well:
